ResearchGate, Amsterdam University Press, and Central European University Press announce Journal Home partnership

October 9, 2025

Berlin (Germany) and Amsterdam (Netherlands), October 9, 2025 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, Amsterdam University Press (AUP), and Central European University Press, leading publishers of academic books, journals and textbooks in the Humanities and Social Sciences, are pleased to announce a new partnership with ResearchGate’s innovative Journal Home

AUP, which includes CEU Press, publishes a growing portfolio of esteemed English- and Dutch-language journals within the Humanities and Social Sciences. Through the new Journal Home partnership, 24 of their fully open access journals covering Humanities and Social Sciences will now benefit from:

  • Increased engagement of authors throughout their research cycle, influencing high quality submissions and publications in the journals.
  • Enhanced visibility and discoverability: all version-of-record content from participating journals will be available to ResearchGate’s more than 25 million researcher members, boosting readership and engagement with AUP’s content.
  • The opportunity to reach highly relevant researchers throughout their research lifecycle, supporting timely and contextual communication that boosts authorship and article usage.
  • Elevated brand visibility with dedicated Journal Profiles, showcasing key information and content from each title, while also allowing individual ResearchGate members to uniquely explore how they and their network are connected to a journal.
  • New services for authors, with automatic article uploads to member profiles, unique impact metrics, and new ways to directly engage with readers.

“AUP and CEU Press are excited to partner with ResearchGate to provide our authors with an innovative way to increase the international reach and readership of their work,” said Irene van Rossum, Managing Director at Amsterdam University Press. “We see Journal Home as a powerful way to increase discoverability for our growing open access portfolio beyond our own core communities, finding new readers and authors.”

“It’s fantastic to partner with Amsterdam University Press and Central European University Press, both pioneers in open access publishing, to extend the global reach of their journals,” said Sebastian Darr, Global Head of Business Development at ResearchGate. “Journal Home will help AUP and CEU Press discover new audiences, connect readers to authors, and build greater brand recognition for their journals worldwide.”
