ResearchGate and ASTM International announce new Journal Home partnership

July 30, 2026

Berlin (Germany) and West Conshohocken, Pa. (USA), 30 July, 2026 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and ASTM International, a global standards organization and publisher of peer-reviewed technical research, have today announced a new Journal Home partnership. The agreement will increase the international visibility and discoverability of open access content from five ASTM International hybrid journals, supporting wider readership and engagement across highly relevant research communities.

Through Journal Home, open access articles from ASTM International journals will be delivered directly to ResearchGate’s global community of more than 25 million researchers. The journals cover key areas of applied research and technical development, including testing and evaluation, materials performance, geotechnical and civil engineering, and smart and sustainable manufacturing.

The journals will benefit from:

  • Increased authorship growth, with ASTM International journals promoted to relevant researchers throughout the research lifecycle, supporting stronger awareness among prospective authors.
  • Increased article usage and readership, with open access content delivered directly to highly relevant researcher communities on ResearchGate.
  • Greater journal visibility and brand recognition through dedicated Journal Profiles that showcase each journal’s scope, content, and author connections on the ResearchGate platform.
  • An improved author experience, with published articles automatically added to author profiles, helping authors increase the visibility of their work and strengthening loyalty to journals.

“Through Journal Home, we can increase the visibility and impact of the applied research published across our journals on an international scale,” said Todd Reitzel, Director, Books and Journals,, ASTM International. “Not only will this elevate the awareness of our journals, but it will help us  to better support our authors by connecting their work with the researchers and communities who can read, use, and apply it in their own fields, extending the value and reach of their research.”

Journal Home is designed to help publishers build visibility, usage, and authorship by connecting their journals with the researchers most likely to engage with them,” said Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development, ResearchGate. “ASTM International publishes research that supports progress across a wide range of applied scientific and technical fields, and we are pleased to help its journals reach new and existing audiences through the new partnership.”
