ResearchGate and Canadian Science Publishing expand Journal Home partnership for full journals portfolio

September 10, 2024

Berlin (Germany) and Ottawa (Ontario) September 10, 2024 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Canadian Science Publishing (CSP), Canada’s largest independent not-for-profit publisher of international peer-reviewed science journals, today announced the expansion of their Journal Home partnership to cover CSP’s complete journal portfolio.

Articles from all 22 CSP journals are now available to ResearchGate’s 25 million active researchers. Each journal has its own profile on ResearchGate and will be highlighted in related articles and other areas on the platform, making it easier for readers and potential authors to find.

The expanded agreement recognises the impact CSP has experienced since launching their Journal Home partnership in February 2024. CSP journals saw immediate growth in international readership and article usage. Through Journal Home’s unique insights and analytics, CSP has gained a deeper understanding of their authors and readers journey from discovering a journal to becoming a reader and eventually publishing an article.

Authors in select CSP journals have already benefitted from the partnership, with their articles automatically appearing on their ResearchGate profiles. Going forward, authors in all CSP journals will have this benefit. ResearchGate will alert author’s connections about new articles and display them in search results and user feeds, boosting the visibility of new content among its large network of researchers.

“We’re delighted to expand our partnership and ensure all our journals benefit from this increased readership and global discoverability”,  said Elaine Stott, Chief Executive Officer at CSP.

“I’m so pleased to see CSP extend their partnership with ResearchGate following such a successful initial Journal Home implementation,” said Sören Hofmayer, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at ResearchGate. “CSP’s results reinforce the value that increased branding and visibility within the ResearchGate network can create for journals to grow their engagement internationally.”
