ResearchGate and International Institute of Anticancer Research expand Journal Home partnership with Community Engagement Upgrade

June 18, 2026

Berlin (Germany) and Kapandriti, Attiki (Greece), 18 June, 2026 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and the International Institute of Anticancer Research (IIAR), an independent platform for international cooperation in the fight against cancer, today announced an expansion of their Journal Home partnership with the activation of the Community Engagement Upgrade (CEU) across all four of IIAR’s journals. The move marks the beginning of a second successful year of collaboration and reflects IIAR’s commitment to broadening the reach and impact of important cancer research.

Following a strong first year on Journal Home, during which all four IIAR journals were onboarded to the platform and gained access to ResearchGate’s network of more than 25 million active researcher members, the expanded agreement now introduces the CEU across IIAR’s full portfolio of open access and hybrid journals. Participating journals benefit from immediate sharing of content on ResearchGate, increasing readership, usage, and discoverability among highly relevant global research communities, continuous engagement with researchers throughout the research and publishing cycle, and dedicated Journal Profiles that showcase each journal’s scope, identity, and latest research. Published articles are also automatically added to author profiles, providing authors with insights into how their work is being read, shared, and cited across the network.

The addition of the CEU introduces powerful new engagement opportunities for IIAR’s editors and journal teams, supporting their mission to disseminate important oncology research and connect with the global cancer research community. The upgrade gives editors:

  • Deeper community understanding: Detailed analytics and demographic data revealing who is reading, citing, recommending, and following their journals, giving editorial teams a richer picture of their audience and helping them engage more effectively with the oncology research community.
  • Editor Picks: The ability to curate and promote selected articles directly to the most relevant readers across ResearchGate's network of 25 million+ researcher members, helping editors drive the discoverability and use of their most important cancer research.
  • Strengthened author and editor relationships: New capabilities for editors to leverage their standing in the research community, grow their journal’s profile, and build lasting connections with authors across the ResearchGate network.

Journal Home has been an important part of our strategy to ensure that impactful oncology research reaches the widest possible audience,” said Dr. George Delinasios, Managing Editor, IIAR at International Institute of Anticancer Research. “In our first year, we have seen real growth in the visibility and usage of our journals, and we are excited to build on that with the Community Engagement Upgrade. Having a clearer picture of who is reading and engaging with our content and being able to actively promote key articles to the right researchers will help us further increase the reach and impact of the cancer research we publish.”

Journal Home has already helped IIAR’s journals grow their visibility and readership, and we’re delighted to deepen that partnership as they move into their second year,” said Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development at ResearchGate. “The Community Engagement Upgrade gives IIAR’s editorial teams powerful new ways to connect with the global cancer research community, building deeper and lasting relationships with new and existing authors and ensuring their most important research reaches the researchers who need it most.”
