ResearchGate and Maximum Academic Press announce expanded Journal Home partnership

May 14, 2026

Berlin (Germany) and Fayetteville, GA (USA) /Nanjing (China), 14 May, 2026 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Maximum Academic Press (MAP), one of the fastest-growing scholarly publishers, have broadened their strategic Journal Home partnership alliance, extending their current agreement and expanding it to include three additional journals: Grass Research, Medicinal Plant Biology, and Technology in Horticulture.

In its first year on Journal Home, participating MAP journals saw a significant boost to their international readership. The increase in brand awareness across the global research community has driven opportunities to engage new researchers and grow high-quality authorship for MAP’s gold open access journal program.

With access to ResearchGate’s network of 25+ million researcher members, MAP’s expanded portfolio will now benefit from the full suite of Journal Home features, including:

  • Increased article usage and discoverability, with MAP’s latest research made immediately available to the researchers most likely to engage with it
  • Deeper engagement with researcher communities, supporting ongoing submissions and helping MAP journals attract new authors
  • Boosted brand recognition for MAP’s expanding publishing program, through custom Journal Profiles that strengthen identity and scholarly significance across the researcher network
  • Expanded author services, including seamless integration into researcher workflows, enhanced insights, and new collaboration opportunities.

Journal Home has provided powerful new routes to readers, researchers, and relevant communities,” said Professor Zong-Ming (Max) Cheng, chief editor and founder of MAP. “Following the strong performance of our initial collaboration, we are excited to extend these benefits to more of our journals to support their development goals and priorities.”

“The success of our initial partnership with MAP highlights the value Journal Home brings in helping journals grow readership, brand reputation, and author base,” said Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development at ResearchGate. “We are pleased to support MAP’s commitment to open science and continue to contribute to its remarkable growth trajectory.”
