ResearchGate and Maximum Academic Press announce new Journal Home partnership

September 25, 2025

Berlin (Germany) and Fayetteville, GA (USA) /Nanjing (China), September 25, 2025 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Maximum Academic Press (MAP), one of the world’s fastest-growing scholarly publishers, today announced a new Journal Home partnership to include full access to a set of their gold open access journals.

Founded in 2020, MAP’s mission to bridge science and society has grown exponentially, launching 38 journals in five years that span the research fields of agriculture, biology, environmental sciences, medicine, statistics, engineering, chemistry, and humanities and social sciences. MAP’s four selected journals will benefit from Journal Home’s immediate boost in readership, unique opportunities to engage new authors throughout the publishing cycle, and potential to grow high-quality authorship. In addition, the expanded partnership will deliver:

  • Greater visibility for MAP’s latest research via the ResearchGate platform – instantly increasing article usage and discoverability
  • An unparalleled opportunity to engage ResearchGate’s active community of 25+ million researchers, growing authorship for MAP journals in highly relevant researcher communities
  • Increased brand awareness for MAP’s expanding publishing program. The journals will have dedicated Journal Profiles, integrating MAP branding on article pages and important researcher touchpoints
  • New author services, including automatic article uploads to author profiles, statistics on who is reading and citing their work, and valuable opportunities to connect with engaged researchers.

“Our Journal Home partnership exemplifies MAP’s unwavering commitment to open science, maximizing the dissemination of scientific information to advance our quality of life,” said Professor Zong-Ming (Max) Cheng, chief editor and founder of MAP. “Journal Home provides MAP journals with powerful new routes to readers, authors and relevant communities to boost the visibility and growth of our journals in the global scholarly landscape.”

“Making it easier for researchers to discover, engage and build on Open Access research for committed, new publishers like MAP is just one of the many ways that Journal Home supports their goals and enhances their brand reputation,” said Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development at ResearchGate. “It is a pleasure to see the significant contributions Journal Home has already made and will continue to make to MAP’s remarkable growth trajectory.”
