ResearchGate and MJS Publishing announce new Journal Home partnership for Swedish society journals

March 5, 2026

Berlin (Germany) and Uppsala (Sweden), 5 March, 2026 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and MJS Publishing, an independent Swedish publisher exclusively publishing society-owned open access medical journals, today announced a new Journal Home partnership covering the majority of MJS Publishing’s journal portfolio. Through the partnership, MJS Publishing will extend the international reach of its society journals and strengthen meaningful engagement with authors and readers worldwide.

MJS Publishing was established in 2021 through the collaboration of its two owning societies: the Society for the Publication of Acta Dermato-Venereologica and the Foundation of Rehabilitation Information. To further its mission of global reach and impact, MJS has now partnered with ResearchGate to bring its portfolio of medical journals onto Journal Home. The new partnership will span a range of medical disciplines including Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Dentistry, Oral Health Rehabilitation, Plastic and Hand Surgery and Urology. By connecting MJS Publishing’s journals with ResearchGate’s active community of 25 million+ engaged researchers, Journal Home will support increased citations and broader discoverability of its journals across international medical disciplines.

Other benefits of the partnership include:

  • Increased usage and readership, with full-text open access journal content seamlessly delivered to highly relevant researcher communities worldwide through the ResearchGate platform.
  • Growth in new and returning authorship, by connecting society journals with engaged researchers and potential authors across key medical disciplines.
  • Enhanced journal visibility and branding, through dedicated Journal Profiles that strengthen recognition of MJS Publishing’s journals within the global research community.
  • Improved author experience and impact, including automatic addition of published articles to author profiles and clearer signals of how research is being read, shared, and cited.

“Our new Journal Home partnership gives our society journals a more visible and consistent presence within relevant international research communities,” said David Kinell, CEO, MJS Publishing. “This helps us better support our authors by extending the reach and use of their work among readers most likely to engage with it.”

Journal Home provides MJS Publishing with the support needed to grow usage, authorship, and recognition for their society journals at an international level,” said Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development, ResearchGate. “By connecting their journals with relevant medical researcher communities at scale, the partnership will help to build deeper, more durable relationships with new and returning authors.”
