ResearchGate and Seekl announce Journal Home partnership for open access journals collection

December 11, 2025

Berlin (Germany) and Kita-ku (Tokyo), 11 December, 2025 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Seekl, operated by Kyorinsha Co., Ltd., Japan’s first consultancy specializing in academic journals, are pleased to announce a Journal Home partnership to expand international readership and usage.

Seekl supports a wide range of journals and reputable Japanese society publishers to achieve international discoverability and engagement. A selection of open access journals across Healthcare, Neurology, and Surgery can now leverage Journal Home’s features to meaningfully engage a wider readership, benefitting from:

  • Immediate discoverability of all version-of-record content from participating journals, increasing visibility and engagement across ResearchGate’s network of over 25 million researchers.
  • Timely, contextual communication with authors and researchers throughout the research cycle, driving higher-quality submissions, stronger author loyalty, and greater readership and usage.
  • Streamlined access to key journal content and information via dedicated Journal Profiles, plus the ability to explore personal network connections to the journal, boosting brand recognition and awareness.
  • Enhanced author services including seamless article uploads to member profiles, detailed impact metrics, and new ways to engage readers and facilitate collaboration, amplifying author loyalty and research impact.

“Seekl’s mission is to ensure world-class Japanese research receives the global recognition it deserves by meeting international standards,” said Takeshi Nakayama, Managing Director, Seekl. “Journal Home is a powerful tool in support of this goal, making it easy for both publishers and authors to reach the right community of researchers for enhanced discoverability and readership.”

“We’re delighted to partner with Seekl to increase the usage and authorship of its open access journals,” said Sebastian Darr, Global Head of Business Development at ResearchGate. “This is especially impactful for the leading medical research included in this partnership, which supports the broader medical community and drives innovation.”
