ResearchGate and Taylor & Francis expand Journal Home partnership to 400 journals

March 7, 2024

Berlin (Germany) and Abingdon (UK) March 7, 2024 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Taylor & Francis, a world-renowned academic publisher, today announced a significant expansion of their Journal Home partnership, doubling coverage from 200 to 400 journals in 2024. The expanded partnership includes all open-access journals and platforms published by Taylor & Francis, including titles published under imprints Routledge, Dove, and F1000, as well as a wider range of hybrid journals.

Journal Home uses dedicated journal profiles available throughout the platform to help researchers discover and explore the titles relevant for their work. Each journal is also prominently represented on all associated article pages, delivering enhanced engagement and accessibility with ResearchGate members.

Authors also benefit from having their articles automatically added to their user profiles on ResearchGate, providing them with valuable insights showing the impact of their work, and a new way to engage with readers.

The expansion comes after Taylor & Francis saw a greater level of global engagement and reach through ResearchGate’s innovative Journal Home offering, including driving new authors and re-engaging previous authors. The partnership will now include the version-of-record for more than 130,000 open access articles, with all new articles in full open access journals being made immediately available on ResearchGate upon publication – boosting the global readership of these titles and increasing the visibility of the titles with the millions of research authors active on ResearchGate.

“We couldn’t be happier to see Taylor & Francis expand their collaboration with ResearchGate,” said Sören Hofmayer, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at ResearchGate. “Taylor & Francis is a key partner for us and their early evaluation shows our researcher ecosystem is building new audiences and greater interest for their journals, compared with other channels. We’re looking forward to strengthening our collaboration and driving forward discoverability together.”

“The initial results of our ResearchGate partnership show that it’s already helping researchers around the world to discover journals and access articles more easily,” said Leon Heward-Mills, Managing Director of Researcher Services at Taylor & Francis. “We’re looking forward to extending these benefits to a much larger proportion of our portfolio and supporting more authors to share their work with the platform’s community.”
