ResearchGate and the JAMA Network announce new Journal Home partnership for complete journals portfolio

October 16, 2025

Berlin (Germany) and Chicago (USA) 16 October, 2025 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and the JAMA Network, one of the world’s most respected medical publishing brands, are delighted to announce a new Journal Home partnership covering the complete JAMA Network journal portfolio.

This collaboration includes all 13 JAMA Network journals, including JAMA, the world’s most widely circulated general medical journal. By leveraging Journal Home, the  JAMA Network will expand international visibility and readership for its peer-reviewed titles and position its journals as a destination for high-impact articles from the global research community. The JAMA Network journal portfolio will now benefit from:

  • Seamless syndication of all version-of-record articles to the ResearchGate platform, including access for users with institutional subscriptions, enhancing the visibility of the journals, and the usage and citation of their content, through ResearchGate’s highly engaged community of 25m+ researcher members.
  • Author engagement throughout the research cycle, enabling the JAMA Network to build even deeper relationships with relevant author communities, attract new authors, and further increase author loyalty.
  • Unique data that provides JAMA Network journals with an advanced understanding of their communities and their demographics, impact, and connections.
  • Enhanced author experience, including automatically adding authors’ articles in JAMA Network journals to their ResearchGate profiles and enabling them to track usage and citations, connect with readers, and understand the wider impact of their work.

"This partnership with Journal Home helps further promote the global exchange of high-quality medical knowledge, increasing visibility and engagement for our journals, and attracting new readers and authors to our portfolio," said Brian Shields, Group Vice President and Publisher at the JAMA Network. "By including all of our journals from the start, we can make the most of Journal Home’s advantages for our authors, speeding up the discovery of their research to improve health care worldwide."

"We're excited to partner with the JAMA Network as an internationally recognised leader in medical publishing," said Mathias Astell, VP of Commercial Products at ResearchGate. "This collaboration will expand access to The JAMA Network’s highly valued healthcare research globally – helping medical communities grow and share knowledge, drive innovation and advance the progress of medical science worldwide."
