Berlin (Germany) and Baech (Switzerland), April 23, 2024 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Trans Tech Publications, the creators of Scientific.Net and publisher of high-demand scientific content focused on materials science and engineering, have today announced a new partnership to enable a range of Trans Tech Publications’ journals be discoverable and accessible on ResearchGate through their innovative Journal Home offering.
In total, 7 Trans Tech Publications journals are included in the partnership, including all their fully open access titles and a leading hybrid title. All version-of-record article content, including 135,000 archive articles and all new articles, will be available to ResearchGate’s 25m+ researcher members – boosting readership and engagement, and enabling Trans Tech Publications to connect with new audiences of highly relevant authors.
All participating journals benefit from the enhanced brand visibility Journal Home provides with readers and potential authors. Dedicated journal profiles will be activated on the ResearchGate platform, providing key information and content from the journals, as well as uniquely enabling ResearchGate members to explore how their network is connected to a journal. The journals are also prominently featured on all associated articles and relevant touchpoints throughout the ResearchGate network.
Trans Tech Publications authors will additionally benefit from their articles being automatically added to their user profiles on ResearchGate – providing them with usage statistics and other insights and presenting a unique way to understand and connect with their readers.
“Trans Tech Publications, Scientific.Net, is committed to meeting the high expectations of our authors, ensuring the widest possible distribution of their work across the world”, said Anne Kristin Wohlbier, co-owner and CEO at Trans Tech Publications. “We’re pleased to partner with ResearchGate to benefit from the increased visibility, reach and impact that Journal Home delivers.”
“Trans Tech Publications’ partnership with ResearchGate recognises the value of partnerships that bring content directly to the researcher ecosystem,” said Sören Hofmayer, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at ResearchGate. “By elevating their journals’ visibility in our highly engaged researcher community through Journal Home, we offer a unique opportunity to build a greater understanding of who is engaging with their content, and how the relevant academic communities connect with their journals.”
