Berlin and New York, October 7, 2021 – ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Rockefeller University Press (RUP), which publishes groundbreaking research in life sciences and biomedicine, announced their partnership in a content syndication agreement today. Under the agreement, all content published as immediate open access (OA) in Journal of Cell Biology (JCB), Journal of Experimental Medicine (JEM), and Journal of General Physiology (JGP) will be accessible on ResearchGate. The collaboration aims to make it easier for researchers to discover and access OA content from these journals, and help authors increase the visibility of their work and connect with readers.
“We are pleased to open another avenue of access to the research published in JCB, JEM and JGP, and to expand the reach and the impact of our authors’ work,” says Susan King, Executive Director of Rockefeller University Press. “We welcome the insights that ResearchGate can bring on usage and engagement, and we look forward to adding these to the article metrics JCB, JEM, and JGP already provide.”
Sven Fund, General Manager, Publisher Solutions at ResearchGate: “The last three years partnering with publishers have shown that together we can improve the researcher experience while adding considerable value to the scholarly publishing ecosystem. The relationships we have established so far – with Springer Nature, Wiley, and now Rockefeller University Press – have resulted in increasing the consumption, peer engagement, and discoverability of content, and we’re excited to partner with Rockefeller University Press.”
The partnership will begin content syndication before the end of this year.
